What this policy covers

This policy applies to this website only. Our products, including the SnowPlanGo mobile app, are covered by their own policies, which are provided separately with those products.

Information we collect

This is a static website. It has no accounts, no login, no comment system, and no forms. We do not ask you for personal information, and there is nowhere on this site for you to submit any.

We do not use cookies, and we do not run advertising or cross-site tracking.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand which pages people read. Plausible is a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It records aggregate information such as the page visited, the referring site, and the general type of browser, operating system, and device. It derives an approximate country from your IP address without storing the address itself. None of this identifies you, and we cannot use it to single out an individual visitor.

We also record aggregate counts of a small number of specific actions, such as how often visitors follow a link from this site to SnowPlanGo. These are counts, not records of individual behavior.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and delivered through Cloudflare's network. As part of delivering and protecting the site, Cloudflare processes technical request data, which can include IP addresses, for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy practices as our infrastructure provider. We do not maintain our own separate server logs of visitors.

How we use information

We use the aggregate analytics described above to decide what to write and to see whether the site works. That is the extent of it. We do not sell information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Links to other sites

This site links to other sites, including snowplango.com and external references cited in our published research. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we link to, and this policy does not apply once you leave.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information a company holds about you. Because this site does not collect personal information, in most cases we simply hold nothing to act on. If you believe otherwise, or you want to ask what we hold, email us at the address above and we will answer.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described rather than made silently.
